App Settings

Store-wide settings that apply globally across all Option Sets and the storefront widget.

Accessing settings

Go to Dashboard → Settings.

Setting	Description
Widget position	Where the options widget (the panel of options that appears on your product page) is injected on the product page, relative to the Add to Cart button. Options: Above (default) or Below.
Widget alignment	Left, center, or right within the product page’s content column.

Setting	Description
Show add-on prices	Whether option add-on prices (+$X.XX) are shown next to value labels on the storefront. Disable if you’d rather customers only see the final total in the cart.
Price display format	How prices are formatted: `+$5.00`, `(+$5.00)`, `+5.00 USD`, etc.
Currency	Read from your BigCommerce store’s default currency. Cannot be changed here — change it in your BigCommerce store settings.

Setting	Description
Required indicator	Symbol shown on required fields. Default is `*`. You can change it to any text or symbol.
Required indicator position	After the label (default) or before the label
Show “Required fields” note	Show a legend at the top of the widget (e.g., ”* Required fields”)

Setting	Description
Block add-to-cart on validation error	When enabled (default), prevents the cart submission if a required field is empty or has a validation error. When disabled, the form can be submitted with errors and customers can add to cart even if required fields are empty — you’ll need to follow up with them manually about any missing information.
Scroll to first error	When add-to-cart is blocked by a validation error, automatically scroll the page to the first error field.

Setting	Description
Locale	Controls date formats, number formats, and UI text. Defaults to the store’s BigCommerce locale.
Custom text	Change any word or phrase shown in the options widget on your storefront — e.g., change “Add to Cart” to “Buy Now”, or translate error messages into another language. Enter your changes as key-value pairs in the text editor — for example, changing `'required'` to `'This field is required'` would update the default required-field message.

The app uses a standard BigCommerce feature to place the options widget on your product pages. You can view the current injection status here:

Field	Description
Script status	Whether the script is currently installed on the storefront
Re-install	Re-installs the script if it was accidentally removed

The script is installed once when the app is first opened and should not need to be reinstalled unless manually deleted from your BigCommerce admin.
